Services Provided: In this rather funky looking design we were able to perform a little research and development in the area of wall panel construction. The main tower here is constructed out of several different curved shapes. It is curved in plan view, it has curved edges and it has sloping edges. All of which make it almost impossible to build without extensive time out on the shop floor. Through one of the AutoCAD partnership programs, we were able to find a program that took the face of a three dimensional object and splay it out flat. What this allowed us to do was to create the skin of a wall panel in CAD, cut it out on the shop floor, and use it to reverse build the wall panel using the pre-cut skin of the panel as a template. It was a rather successful time saver that I hope to be able top use more and more to remain competitive in this industry.
